Gilbert Arthur Casto
Apr 16, 2018He was the son of the late Edgar and Hilda Casto.Gilbert served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He loved to farm and play cards with his two grandchildren. He was a kind, generous and compassionate man who never met a stranger. Most of all, Gilbert was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Roy Casto (Nettie); sisters, Macel Miller (Charlie) and Loretta Reese (Claude).Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Doris Casto; daughters, Marsha Casto (Fred Holliday), Patricia Snodgrass (Terry) and June Ingram (Dale); sisters, Wilma Fisher and Jean Miller; grandchildren, Megan Turley and Patrick Ingram.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Dr. Jerry Fisher will be officiating.
